If you are interested in becoming a Substitute Teacher or Educational Assistant we ask that you submit your resume, applicable educational transcripts and three (3) professional references. Once your references have been contacted and your application approved, you will receive the following applicable paperwork via mail, email or in person to continue the application process.

Once hired the following forms need to be completed
Employment Information Forms
(the following forms are required as part of the application package)
- Pledge of Confidentiality [pdf]
- Child Abuse Registry Check (this can be picked up from the Turtle Mountain School Division Board Office)
*This form will need to be verified in person and mailed by Division Board Office Staff. Please bring identification with you when submitting your application. Cost: $20. (This usually takes 6 weeks to process before we get it back)
- Criminal Record Check [pdf]
*This form is to be completed at your local RCMP Detachment. Cost: $10. Please allow 2 weeks for your Criminal Record Check to be processed.
Employees requiring Criminal Record Checks
Please note that the RCMP detachment will no longer provide completed Criminal Record Checks while you wait. The anticipated wait time for a completed Criminal Record Check will be two weeks. This additional wait time means that those applying for substitute positions within the Division (including those requiring a Limited Teaching Permit) will need to plan accordingly.
